A user can only be assigned to one rule simultaneously.

IMPLICATIONS WITHIN THE MANAGEMENT PANEL

  • Applies to the user rules.
  • There are 3 options: Manual booking, random booking or both.
  • It affects the entire organization.
  • It only affects the DESK category.
  • When a rule is created, the default selection will be "both".
  • It cannot always be booked via the camera, depending on the option chosen, a message is displayed.

User rules will be returned when the logged-in user's profile is viewed. Within them you will find two values involved in this process:

  • allowAutomaticWorkstationBooking: Indicates whether the user can make random bookings or not.
  • allowManualWorkstationBooking: Indicates whether the user can make a manual booking or not.

OPERATION WITHIN THE MOBILE APP

Two new fields are introduced in the user rules that indicate whether the user has the ability to use random, manual or both, desk bookings.

1. If the user only has access to manual bookings:

  • Bookings via the camera are available.
  • Standard or searchable bookings.
  • The one-click booking shortcut is not available.
  • The switch that is displayed to indicate whether you want to make a random booking or not is not available on the desk booking form.
  • The button displayed on the desk booking form shows the text Search.

    ‍

2. On the other hand, if the user only has access to random bookings:

  • Unable to book via the camera, message is shown.
  • The one-click booking shortcut is available.
  • The switch that is displayed to indicate whether you want to make a random booking or not is not available on the desk booking form.
  • The button displayed on the desk booking form shows the text Book.
  • In the Search button, when going to the detail of a resource, the "+" icon is not displayed in the free slots, nor are these clickable.

3. If you have both booking types enabled, the following is displayed:

  • Bookings via the camera are available.
  • The one-click booking shortcut is available.
  • The switch that is displayed to indicate whether you want to make a random booking or not, is available on the desk booking form.
  • This switch, the first time it is seen is by default disabled, but the choice is saved for the next desk booking.
  • The button on the desk booking form changes based on the switch value mentioned in the previous point: Random ->  Book; Manual ->  Search
